Son of Arthur Ennis, Jr. & Nancy Weaver of Lancaster Co., SC. Born in Harris Co., GA in 1844, he enlisted 02/27/1862 into the unit known as "Gilmore Greys." At only 18 years old he served as unit drummer. He was wounded twice & was captured at Gettysburg. He died from infection & is buried in a mass grave near Gettysburg battlefield. |
