Chester E. Bartow, age 83 of Marion died Sunday evening, May 7, 2006 at Manor Care in Westerville.

He was born on October 29, 1922 in Shawnee, Ohio to the late William and Florence (White) Bartow. He was a US Army veteran of WW II, serving in the 809th Battalion and was a resident of Marion for the past 50 years.

Chester enjoyed a passion for yard care and he worked as a lawn technician for numerous Marion area homes.

He is survived by Daughter: Connie E. (Harvey) Norman of Westerville, Son: Douglas Bartow, Grandchildren: Jami Norman, Rhonda Dytko, Great-grandchildren: Brian, Louis, Anna, James, Sisters: Ina Marvin of Canton, Athorine (Don) Macacheran of VA, Brothers: William (Carolyn) of Michigan, Dwight and Dale of Marion, and Rev. Donald (Mary) Bartow of Canton.

Chester was preceded in death by a daughter: Cindy, Sisters: Raney Hook, Helen Nance, Brothers: Sam and Willard Bartow.
