We were in the hospital waiting
The worry was immense
Everyone was pacing and everyone was tense.
The minutes seemed like hours
Time was standing still
Coffee, pop and cigarettes we all had our fill.
Suddenly, down the hall came Freddie, his face lit up with joy
He stammered out to all of us,
"It's a Daddy! I'm a Boy!
